One day an invitation to the VanDead Carnival had arrived at the Sakamaki household. Commanded by their father the Sakamaki household and Yui Komori had to unwillingly participate. When arriving at the Venue, the Mukami brothers were also there.

She is quite gentle and very skilled at cooking. Her personality varies on the choices the player makes throughout the game. In the anime, she has a cheerful and optimistic personality. Yui is oblivious to many things and doesn't catch onto things easily.
She also has trouble in making decisions in certain cases. Yui seems to be very determined in the worst scenarios and doesn't mind any mean comments thrown her way by any of the vampires. Despite such situations, she usually responds to all the brothers with kindness. As she goes through the game, she slowly starts to become a masochist. Yui is also shown to be strong-willed. Yui is also a strong believer of God. At first, she does not believe in the existence of vampires but eventually comes to accept them.
Azusa is a clingy, faint-hearted do-S extreme sadist and do-M extreme masochist. Because he likes being injured, he may even harm himself. Though his manner of speech and attitude are timid, he'll always do what he wants to his heart's content. He talks very slowly.
Azusa has a twisted yet visible sense of right and wrong. He tells his brothers not to fight. He apologizes to the heroine when he startles her, deceives her, or feels he must do something against her wishes. He never uses demeaning nicknames and calls the heroine by her name with the "-san" honorific or simply "Eve.
He believes physical pain is the greatest pleasure; it makes him feel alive and gives his life purpose. Because of his childhood trauma, Azusa feels unwanted and useless except when he's in pain, and he says that being unwanted by anyone is worse than death. Physical pain also helps him forget emotional pain, and Azusa tries to hurt the heroine to give her the same comfort and pleasure. He also finds it important for wounds to leave permanent scars, because the scars are proof that he was "needed" once.
Since he heals, he needs to "refresh" his old scars, which he considers his friends and talks to them most notably Justin, Christina, Melissa, which are named after his bullies in childhood. Kou is the second son of the Mukami household.
He is an idol in the human world as a side job. As a human child, he was abandoned in a manhole and never knew anything about his parents or where he had come from. Kou didn't want to think that his beating was painful and wanted to believe that he should be happy because he could have nice things.
Eventually, he accepted that the situation he was in was basically hell. In an attempt to stop the orphanage from making him continue as an aristocrat's toy, he lamented that his right eye might never see the blue sky he craved again.
He decided to disfigure himself by gouging out his right eye. Unfortunately, that only made the aristocrats desire him more. Kou realized that he made a mistake, and he feared that his situation would only get worse.
Kou tried to commit suicide but found himself unable to kill himself. Soon after, he met Ruki, who called Kou a loser. Kou denied that and tried to kill himself Ruki even dared him to , but again, Kou was unable to do so, as Ruki expected.
Ruki knew this because he often caught Kou staring at the sky. Ruki told Kou that if he gave up that hope, he would be nothing more than a loser. Ruki invited Kou to come with him if he wanted to be free from his hell. Ruki Mukami is the eldest son of the Mukami household. He is known as the 'Brains' of the Mukami family. He always has an intimidating smirk on his face matched with a calm tone, but a sense of brutality can be felt in his spoken words.
Without dirtying his own hands, he interacts with others as a cruel-hearted, military do-S extreme sadist. Ayato notes that he is an "intellectual" person. Yuma is the third son of the Mukami household.
The voice, body, and attitude of this rebellious sadist are all big. He often goes on rampages, but he falls asleep after he becomes bored. He can always be found munching noisily on sugar cubes. He is very sadistic and rough and also quite perverted and hot-tempered. He doesn't mind consuming the complete body of his victim alongside draining the blood, and this was suggested as the main reason for his physical strength growing even above the average impure vampire.
As a child, he was very lively and cheery. Sometimes too rebellious to his parents who were religious people while he didn't believe in God. After the incident and his amnesia, he had to become even tougher if wanted to survive out on the streets with the other members of his rebellion gang. He grew violent, rough, and dominating with time. After his parents died in a fire, Yuma became a follower of a street gang and looked up to the leader, or boss, Lucks.
Under a new name, Bear, Yuma lived on the streets with Lucks and the others. Lucks would scavenge around and steal food to give to all his followers. He also worked as a slave, or what he claims as "livestock", in order to get money to pay for food as well. His main dream, which Bear would inherit, was to have a world where everyone is free and equal, no social classes or gaps.
He wanted to strip the corrupt politicians and aristocrats of their status in order to purify this world of its filth. Ayato along with Laito and Kanato, the triplets, are the sons of Cordelia, daughter of the Demon Lord and the first wife of Karlheinz, the Vampire King. Ayato has a messy reddish-brown hair with hints of purple color on his nape, with lighter shades of ash brown or light blond to the tips.
His eyes are green like Laito's but have narrow pupils like Cordelia's. He also wears a black stud on his right ear. In Haunted Dark Bridal, he usually wears a white shirt that has brown bordering the top and bottom of the shirt with a black jacket and brown scarf.
He wears it with blue jeans with a belt attached to both sides of his pants that hang down and go around his pants. Under the hoodie is a white shirt with a black V collar.
He wears it with black pants. He also wears a chain necklace. His school uniform consists of the black school blazer with an unbuttoned white dress shirt and a untied red tie around part of his neck and the right collar of the shirt. He wears it with the black uniform pants with the right pant leg rolled up to his knees and a pair of red and black sneakers. Known as the troublemaker of the household, Ayato is an attention seeker and loves mischief.
He looks down on others and loves to bully and tease people. He refers to himself most of the time as ore-sama yours truly and he calls Yui, chichinashi breastless. Ayato is quite the rebel and has a passion for torture device; like the iron maiden and such device can be found in his room. He is also the type who always brags about himself; sometimes commanding everyone to call him Ayato-sama.
It is also noted that he eats a lot, although Ayato stated that vampires need to drink blood to savor the taste. His favourite food is takoyaki and gets very angry if someone eats his food. He is a narcissistic prankster who has an obsession of being the best due to his childhood problems with his mother. Ayato is the youngest of the triplets along with Laito and Kanato.
